Job Description:
  • Under the supervision of Project Manager, the community mobilizer will be supposed to perform the following key tasks.
  • Introduce SHARP and its legal aid services project to the marginalized and vulnerable Afghans refugees’ communities within in Islamabad, Rawalpindi.
  • To facilitate and conduct community awareness Raising sessions on various subject including human rights, Refugees rights, Donor & Organization services, International Protection, in the project area.
  • Identify community needs, concerns, and priorities through participatory methods.
  • Build trust, develop linkages & Synergies with refugee’s community leaders, influencers, and representatives.
  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness-raising sessions.
  • Mobilize & facilitate the formation of community-based volunteers’ groups.
  • Promote social inclusion and peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities.
  • Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure access to services for refugees and asylum seekers.
  • Collect and document feedback from communities to inform program development and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of community mobilization activities/trainings.
  • Participate in regular training and capacity-building opportunities.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with refugees’ communities and their elders.
  • Maintaining good relations with communities, notables and local contact persons to involve them in programme activities and seek their support wherever required
  • Mobilize/sensitize refugees’ communities towards Programme activities
  • Develop profile of the area and assist /Support lawyers and Paralegal team in conducting assessment at field for developing social mapping, Risk assessment
  • Undertake field visits, and surveys for the effective implementation of project activities in the field.
  • Submit the weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor
  • Perform other related duties as required.
