This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing, recognised professional services firm which is led by award-winning international lawyers who have worked with some of the world’s largest international businesses, corporates and UHNWs from major cities all over the world. Such clients include tier-1 global investment banks, energy firms, exchanges, brokerages, fund managers, fintechs and regulatory bodies.
The firm’s work spans multiple industries and the firm is particularly well-known for its expertise in three specific industry sectors: (i) Financial Services, including investment banking, funds and fintechs; (ii) Commodities, including energy and metals; and (iii) Technology, including blockchain, Metaverse and AI.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the launch of new businesses and the expansion of existing major businesses into new regions around the world;
Supporting and liaising with clients, stakeholders, C-suite executives and counterparties which may include many of the world's largest financial institutions, high-profile media figures and Ultra High Net Worth individuals;
Attending meetings with international clients;
Coordinate across time zones for client meetings, legal proceedings, and internal reviews;
Assisting with day-to-day operational processes across departments;
Assisting in review of documents, presentations and internal reports;
Building relationships with new clients and onboarding new clients, including file opening, conflict checks, induction checklists;
Supporting and delivering internal training and workshops;
Supporting resource allocation; and
Preparing reports and management materials in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree (or higher qualifications) from a respected university in a major city;
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential – this will be tested;
Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy;
Excellent organisational and time management skills;
Strong research skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and produce complex findings;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Willingness to adapt to requirements of international professional services firms and international clients by adapting to either the Dubai (Gulf Standard Time) or London (British Summer Time) time-zone; and
Private access to a solid and reliable internet connection.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within a London or New York based professional services firm or corporate environment is preferred (though not essential); and
Foreign language skills are not essential but may be advantageous, as we work with international clients.
