We are looking for an Accounts Officer who is responsible to manage and monitor overdue accounts and ensure timely recovery of outstanding amounts while maintaining a professional relationship with clients. The role requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial data for recovery planning.

Responsibilities:

• Track overdue accounts and initiate recovery action in line with company policies.
• Analyze customer account statements, ledgers and financial documents to determine payment history and outstanding balances.
• Liaise with clients through calls, emails and site visits to negotiate repayment plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of recovery activities, correspondence and payment arrangements.
• Prepare periodic recovery reports for management review.
• Reconcile customer accounts and identify discrepancies or adjustments.
• Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations regarding debt recovery and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in credit control, collections or accounts receivable/recovery.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounting software- SAP ERP and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple recovery cases efficiently.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
