Job Description: |
We are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally fluent Marketing Executive - eBook to manage the front-facing sales and promotional aspects of our digital book catalog. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing listings, managing content visibility across eBook platforms, and driving sales performance through effective positioning, metadata management, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Upload, format, and manage eBooks on platforms such as Amazon Kindle (KDP), Apple Books, Google Books, Kobo, and others
Optimize metadata including titles, keywords, descriptions, categories, and pricing to increase discoverability
Monitor daily/weekly sales performance, rankings, customer reviews, and returns
Coordinate with marketing teams to run promotional campaigns, free giveaways, and limited-time discounts
Design or oversee creation of high-converting eBook cover images and marketing creatives
Manage author dashboards, ensure all content complies with publishing guidelines, and troubleshoot errors or rejections
Interact with customers professionally across social platforms, emails, and review responses
Generate sales reports and provide insights on trends, reader behavior, and competitive positioning
Maintain accurate product data and ensure timely updates when content is revised or expanded
Research best-selling trends, top categories, and market demand across niches and genres
Required Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience in digital publishing, eCommerce, online sales, or content marketing
Demonstrated experience working with at least one major eBook platform (Amazon KDP, Google Play Books, Apple Books, etc.)
Familiarity with SEO practices, keyword tools (Publisher Rocket, Helium 10, Ahrefs), and metadata optimization
Experience with customer handling and digital storefront management is a strong advantage
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Publishing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Certifications in SEO, Digital Marketing, or Amazon KDP publishing (preferred but not mandatory)
Strong English communication and writing skills (additional languages are a plus)
Ability to write or edit persuasive and reader-friendly product descriptions
Relevant Skills
Digital publishing tools and dashboards (e.g., KDP, Draft2Digital, Smashwords)
Keyword research and on-platform SEO
Sales reporting and analytics (Excel, Google Sheets, KDP Reports, etc.)
Basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator)
Social media integration for book promotion (Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads)
Time management and ability to handle multiple titles simultaneously
Customer service etiquette and response management
Eligibility Criteria
Must have ability to create/manage personal or commercial Amazon, Google, or Apple account
Availability to meet periodic deadlines, including occasional weekend or late-hour promotions
A portfolio or examples of previous eBook listings, sales records, or marketing contributions (preferred)
Passion for books, digital content, and publishing innovation
