Job Description: |
We are seeking a detail-oriented analytical Data Specialist to manage, analyze, and optimize data across our chemical distribution operations. The Ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making in supply chain, inventory, logistics, compliance, and customer systems, enabling smarter business decisions and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from internal systems
- Develop and maintain databases, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Collaborate with R&D and compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis to identify trends and anomalies
- Ensure data governance and compliance with industry regulations
- Support digital transformation initiatives and automation of data workflows
- Document data processes and provide training to internal stakeholders
Data Management & Organization
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources
- Design and maintain databases, data systems, and data pipelines
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Create dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Generate reports to support strategic decision-making
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Provide training or documentation to help teams use data tools effectively
Governance & Compliance
- Implement data quality standards and best practices
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
- Monitor and audit data usage to prevent errors or misuse
Automation & Optimization
- Develop scripts or workflows to automate data collection and reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and improve efficiency
- Support digital transformation initiatives through data-driven solutions
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Chemistry, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in a data-centric role, preferably in manufacturing or life sciences
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to translate data insights for non-technical teams
- Familiarity with chemical industry databases and regulatory data standards.
