As a Network Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, escalation, and troubleshooting services to customer. Your responsibilities include tracking and resolving support requests related to network (Routing & Switching) and offering day-today operational support. The role demands high technical competency and independence in providing remote and field support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Track and resolve all assigned support requests using effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Proactively monitor and resolve network incidents affecting the site for maximum availability and performance.
• Use standard network management tools, internal ticketing systems, and monitoring consoles for tasks.
• Produce and maintain network infrastructure documentation based on architectural standards, including physical and logical designs and configurations.
• Liaise and coordinate with other departments, service providers, external vendors, and suppliers on network-related or security-related issues.
• Produce complete implementation plans for any major change to the customers network, including specific changes, timelines, and contingency plans.
• Monitor the health of network infrastructure, schedule maintenance/upgrades, and  keep aected users informed.Work with architectural and design teams to ensure accuracy of designs and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with project management teams to understand project deliverables, commit to timescales, and provide implementation support during business and occasional out-of-business hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area 
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• CCNP-R&S Network Certification is preferred-In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in IP Addressing, Subnetting, VLSM, ARP, reverse & proxy ARP, and Ping concepts.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of complex layer 2 technologies such as VLAN Trunks, VTP, Etherchannel, STP, RSTP, and MST.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Access, Distribution, and Core switches.
• Expertise in the analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation of LAN/WAN architecture with experience in IP services.
• Prefer to have Wireless and Access Points (AP) experience, preferably Aruba Controller/AP.
• Cisco Routers and Switches platform experience requiredUnderstanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
