Job Description: |
The Manager BO owns the end-to-end commercial pipeline, manages the local office and team, and serves as the brand ambassador at Learning & Development (L&D) and HR forums. Success is measured through sustainable revenue growth, strengthened client relationships, seamless local operations, and heightened visibility of HDS’s learning programs.

Core Activities & Deliverables
Strategic Business Development
- Craft and execute a 3-year go-to-market plan for Pakistan, aligned with HDS regional objectives.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across banking, telecom, tech, FMCG, and public-sector verticals.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and solution pitching to contract negotiation and deal closure.
Market & Opportunity Scanning
- Monitor L&D, HR-tech, and talent-development trends, translating insights into new service offerings.
- Produce quarterly opportunity maps identifying high-potential industries, regions, and strategic partners.
Stakeholder & Network Management
- Cultivate C-suite and HR-lead relationships to position HDS as a trusted learning partner.
- Represent HDS at national HR conferences, SHRM / HRDN events, and government roundtables.
- Maintain active membership in relevant chambers and professional associations.
Showcase & Event Leadership
- Organize and manage flagship “HDS Experiential Learning Showcases” in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad—handling venue selection, stakeholder invitations, backend logistics, and comprehensive post-event support.
- Partner with digital marketing team to secure media coverage and capture leads from each showcases.
Office & Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day office administration, budget control, and compliance with local regulations.
- Liaise with finance and HR shared services to ensure smooth payroll, vendor payment, and statutory filings.
Reporting & Governance
- Submit monthly business dashboards (revenue vs. target, pipeline health, event ROI).
- Mitigate commercial and operational risks, escalating issues to the CEO as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or related field; MBA preferred.

Experience: 10 years total, with at least 7 years in senior business-development or sales leadership roles for multinational or top-tier local firms. A proven record of closing high-value L&D / HR solutions is a strong advantage.

Domain Knowledge: Working familiarity with Learning & Development, talent-management frameworks, and HR technology platforms.

Network: Established relationships across Pakistan’s corporate HR community and industry associations.
