Job Objective

System engineer (Windows & Virtualization Environment) is responsible to provide all systems operational support related to KMBL Windows Environment & virtualization environment administration and Management activities across the Bank.

vii.Migration of users from Mailbox Databases to maintain DB Size

i.DFS Management for data Replication

i.Planning of Monthly Patching Activity based on Monthly Security Bulletin from Microsoft

ii.Patching All Windows based Servers at PR and DR Site.

iii.Managing GFI Languard Server by Updating its Patches 

iv.Coordination with Application and Other Relevant teams for Patch management

h.Managing GFI Products

i.Administration of GFI Languard for Windows Patching

ii.Administration of GFI Endpoint Security for Managing USB Access Across KMBL

iii.Administration of GFI Mail Essentials for Managing Antispam Filtering for Email Server

iv.Administration of Email Archiving using GFI Archiving Solution

i.Infrastructure monitoring 

i.Administering Zabbix/SolarWinds Server at PR and DR Site.

ii.Configuring Custom reports and Alerts for Critical Server

iii.Maintenance of Zabbix servers

j.Resolving NOC Forwarded Alerts

i.Active Monitoring Alerts received from Noc Team

ii.Taking action for Resolving critical issues on urgent basis

iii.Communication with Noc team with any planned activity and downtime of Servers. 

k.HDMS Tickets Resolution

i.Resolving HDMS Calls on Daily Basis

ii.Creating Task and follow up to resolve tasks

iii.Infrastructure Level Change Management through Change Procedure in HDMS

iv.Adding Problem Resolution in Tickets related to MS Windows/VMware

2.VMware VSphere / OVS Management Which Includes

a.VMware Environment Management 

i.Creating New Servers as per requirement

ii.Virtual Resource Management (Compute, Storage, Networks)

iii.V2V Migration

iv.P2V Migration 

v.Creating Templates to fulfill user requirement 

vi.Installing and Managing Hypervisor Hosts

vii.Server’s Snapshot and Cloning 

viii.User Management with SSO

ix.VRealize Operations Administration, Management and monitoring

x.Patch management of ESXI Hosts

xi.Managing VMware Cluster across PR and DR Site

3. DR Site Readiness Preparation for BCP /DR-Drill

a.Infrastructure Readiness for DR-Dril

i.Preparing/Managing Branch TS Servers for DR-Drill

ii.Preparing and Managing Print Servers

iii.Managing File Servers Replication 

iv.Patch Management of DR-Site Servers

v.Email Server Management at DR-Site

vi.Configuring HDMS Server by Restoring Latest DB during DR-Drill

vii.Configuring Email Routing

viii.DR- Switchover Activity During DR-Drill

b.Daily DR-Checklist

i.Verifying and ensuring all Servers are Up and running at DR Site

ii.Daily Reporting of DR-Site Readiness via HDMS 

iii.Resolving any Issue on DR Site if exist during verification

4.Audit and Compliance Assurance

a.Information Security Compliance & Audit 

i.Point of Contact (POC) for IS Team for Security patching

ii.Configuration of Baseline Security for Servers.

iii.Assist IS Team for Verifying Baseline Security

iv.Monthly updates on Servers Patch Status

v.Removing Vulnerabilities on Servers identified by IS Team

vi.Assisting IS Team with IS Auditing of Windows Environment

b.Assisting Internal Audit Team in IT Audit

i.Providing required Information to Audit

ii.Assisting in Tasks related to Audit for IT infrastructure 

iii.Assist in Verification of Audit policies to Audit Team

iv.Resolving the Audit Findings

c.Strong CAB management

Job Requirements:

Education

Master in IT/ Engineering/ Computer Science from a reputed HEC-recognized university/institution.

Skills

  • Managing and Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server and Print Server at enterprise level.
  • Hands on Experience with Group policies, Permissions 
  • Hands on Experience with MS Exchange and Skype for Business Servers  
  • Hands on experience on VMware, Oracle OVS, VCenter, vRealization Operations & relevant technologies.
  • Skilled in Red Hat & Oracle Linux and Windows.
  • Should have ability to schedule & script the routine jobs, experience with automation tools to schedule the routine jobs and minimize manual interventions is a plus.
  • Must have worked in an enterprise environment in excess of 200 servers. 
  • Ability to work independently on projects and duties without constant supervision.
  • Exhibits and upholds KMBL’s values and social performance objectives.
  • 24/7 Availability.
  • Strong change management knowledge

Duration & Nature of Previous Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience with 2-3 years of experience in a similar position or equivalent in a large organization with multi-branch architecture.
